An underground world is inhabited by mythical creatures evolved from a deep lineage of Brazilian folklore. One detective who finds himself caught in a murder investigation that puts him in the middle of a battle between these two worlds.

 

Then I found Seventh Son, I guess I was asleep in 2014 because I didn't know this movie was out! I loved the books! And I loved the movie! It got a rating of 1/2 star on Rotten Tomatos, but maybe because I read the books I actually loved it. But of course it didn't FOLLOW the books.  Or I have low standards, but what the hell, I enjoyed it anyway! Too bad they didn't make more movies out of the series!

Seventh Son is a 2014 American fantasy film directed by Sergei Bodrov and starring Ben Barnes, Jeff Bridges, Alicia Vikander, and Julianne Moore. It is loosely based on the 2004 novel The Spook's Apprentice (titled The Last Apprentice: Revenge of the Witch in the United States) by Joseph Delaney.

 

It was nice to get out of reality tonight and just enjoy the evening with these as I did some drawing.

Here is the trailer! AND they made it into a comedy! I am LOVING the trailer! And I AM a die hard Dark Shadow fan...but the movie can be different! I have ALL the DVD's of the soap oprah if I want to see the original gothic romance! I am quarky enough to appreciate Johnny and Tim's version!

 

What an awesome day! Got up early...the house was warm, made some French roast...watched Supernatural...then off to meet up with Sarah! We went and saw Iron Lady (not sure how I feel about it yet), the movie made me sad about her, and I did fall in love with her husband! For how staunch she was he was silly and full of life!  

Then we had brunch at The Village Bistro, I had the Butternut Squash Ravioli and Sarah had their Eggs Benedict...we sat outside because there was no room inside...and we froze our asses off! It was cold out there! LOL and then a stop at Maido where I always buy too many pens, and journaly things! LOL LOVE  We also went to Sur Table and I found some cute red kitchen stuff! I am a slut for red kitchen items!

I was a little disappointed, I thought I might have lost MORE than what I did...but since getting serious with WW and the exercise last week, I kept within the points and I lost 2.6 pounds! I was hoping for 50! LOL not really but I was hoping for more.  I have to keep up the motivation!

Oh Jane...I will miss you! You even fought for women's rights on Capitol Hill after she suffered a botched back alley abortion as a teen, it left her unable to have children and she was a preachers daughter, who used to have Bible studies in LA... I hope you are doing what you love on the other side! When I was a kid I wanted to look like her!

 
 

 

How ridiculous people can be!

Maybe we will look back on those doing censorship now in the same way I am today looking at the clips from the old films...and the issue of decency was????

Happy 4th!

I spent the morning sitting on my patio in the back yard with the pool filled and ready for the Gboy to swim w/Gma! BBQ is getting ready! It's a 4th celebration! Crackers is enjoying the shade! All is right with the world when you get to spend the holiday with the man you love, your kids, grand-kids and good food...even the fur and feather babies are happy.

It's the FIRST year in AGES that I have spent it with people I love. Most years WGB is at his families place in Montana and I am home alone...so this year all my kids and his kids are here! Awesome BBQ, pool time, little kid fire works...It makes me happy. We even watched a movie together, not much grumping except for the G-boy being ants LOL, we saw The Lightening Thief. I thought it was pretty good! I hope the G-boy doesn't have nightmares! Then off to see the fireworks around the corner!

I have to agree with WGB we need an 8 day week! One day just to do chores! and real life! Hahahaha he said he would be willing to give up ONE work day for it! hahahaha me too!

 

Off for shopping for bird food, new hair iron (since mine is cheap and not working) and I want my hair to look straight not kinked! I can't get it to look like they did at the shop!LOL  Soap, shampoo! ect!

 

Then off for a good walk! :)

The company announced that Disney died Wednesday in Newport Beach, Calif., after a yearlong bout with stomach cancer.

If the Walt Disney Studios were to have a real-life Jiminy Cricket, it would have to be vice chairman Roy Edward Disney, son of Roy O. Disney and nephew of Walt Disney, the Company's founders. Besides being its conscience, Roy has also been called the "soul of the Company" because he often looks to its past to define its future.

I am grateful for WGB loving me even when I do stupid things! Like drop some thing down the bathroom sink when he has told me to put that stupid plunger thing back in...and I didn't...

Watching Dark Shadows, Blood and Chocolate, and Firefly...Knitting up a storm on my hat...my fingers are SO sensitive!!! ouch Painting in the watercolors. AND cooking a good chicken veggie soup!

I could LOVE having every Monday off work!
