National Letter Writing Month

Each year my girlfriend Lindsay who has awesome blogs by the way,  www.lindsayostrom.blogspot.com and www.scribblesbylinzi.blogspot.com, she coordinates PenPals, last year there were like 43 of us this year 97!!! And we are having some fun!

You are just required to send something to your PenPal, and only once...most do more. Some over acheivers try to do everyone in the group. I won't be one of those since I work full time. I just can't. But I am having fun and feeling good every time I go to the mailbox! Great mail vs bills!

The power of GOOD bombing, Lindsay came up with the idea of bombing someone with a health issue, personal reason, or because they have had a shitty week...I nominated my daughter Desi and she got bombed with what she called "Pretty Mail" 

We have decided to dedicate a Facebook group to this and we will do it all year long! It just makes you feel good to focus on someone else and making them feel good and smile for a moment instead of thinking of yourself!

I had to go with some thing a bit more LIGHT and Beauty and the Beast complete seasons (3 I think)...and I still needed Season 3 of Forever Knight, I love that series...

These should not cause nightmares! LOL

And I got my FREE make-up for buying the lipstick!

They sucked the life out of me at work today...creating some art to have JOY! These boots are now toast...the water from the puddles leaked into them today walking to lunch! Today I set up some special treasure to draw today...each has a meaning connected to a friend...

Today I received my new Brenda Book! Now to start using it huh!  My knitting on the Noro hat is doing really well this time...I am so happy this time! I WAS doing the stitch backwards!

It was a very productive day! Tons of laundry, cleaned my bathroom. Cooking 4 bean chili. Cleaning the clutter and moving some of my art supply bins into the garage. To get them out of the WGBs living room Trying to find a very honored place for the spinning wheel!  Put the hand dyed wool in bins and out in the garage too... WGB built me a nice fire and I have been drawing too... Whew, time to put my feet up!

I was so cold in my room today WGB made sure to keep the fire going, and kept me nice and warm as I worked on cleaning off my table and putting my new ROSE clothe on top! AND I watched Dark Shadows while I practiced my Suziblu drawings...you can see the progress today...although I am not happy with them the more I practice the better I will get.
 

California is SO confused! It is raining today! Wild ride! I only got in 3, 822 steps today. My lip is still healing and I had GREAT mail! My new-old table cloth came from Graygoosie! So excited it is so beautiful! and the smock!  Plus the ZINES from Traci Bunkers!

Good Mail and Embracing my issues

Oh! I am SO excited! I got BOTH of Maggie Taylor's books! They came today! She is the one that did ALL the awesome art in the beginning of Ghost Whisperer! If YOU love Alice in Wonderland...You will be in love with this book! Note...if you want these books, it is cheaper to go onto the publishers website...Amazon was OVER $100 a piece!!!

Today I am grateful that I have my job, because job cuts are coming to my work...Looks like we have to cut 2.6 Million from our budget...the Big boss says...That's people! Unless we can come up with creative idea's...

It was good enough to run off to the beach...but I was stuck at work! What a beautiful day of 72 degrees... California Winter is CRAZY this year.

My friend Dee sent me that quote on her email, and I LOVE it! I have never seen this quote and SO needed it today! I am lifting myself up and moving on...

Today I just went about my business my life, and I was SHOCKED when I sat down last night, after my walk, after running to the store and going out to a great ALONE dinner with WGB, my steps were ON THE DOT 6,000!!!! I was SO shocked! Wowzer!!!! I feel like I am doing great at trying to find that elusive balance...in this stress I am feeling I am really trying to counter balance it with taking care of myself!

I had a surprise when I got to work, my friend SoManyIdeas sent me a hand made card for good thoughts and love!!!! Yippeee! With a scary doll on the front because she knows I love them!

And now I am going to bed too! EARLY since I only had 2 hours of sleep last night, I took some tums just in case the heart burn wanted to come back...

What a LONG torture day at work....Today at work was TORTURE! So slow! I made an appt for the doc and I really like this one...but she has her practice closed for new patients, mine I just haven't connected with. This doctor actually LOOKED at me while I was talking, and ASKED me questions! She tested my oxygen levels - Good! My breathing for asthma - Good! In the range for my age! LOL My nose which looks irritated along with my ears - my chest is clear so the coughing is normal... Just have to take care of myself...Ok Doc says its viral it will run its course...I am trying! I thought maybe it was infection I feel so bad...but lucky me its not! So just lots of liquids, cough meds and sleep!

Don't you some times just wish they had a magic wand to wave over you??? I do! there ALL better!

Stress...it makes any little thing hang on, so the lesson is to LET IT GO...there is nothing you can do to change things out of your control. And meditate and love yourself enough to be present.
