Jesus Burns...in Ohio

I know, I know, "I'm" going to burn because I find this so funny!

MONROE, Ohio – A six-story-tall statue of Jesus Christ with his arms raised along a highway was struck by lightning in a thunderstorm Monday night and burned to the ground, police said.

The lightning strike set the statue ablaze around 11:15 p.m., Monroe police dispatchers said.

The sculpture, 62 feet tall and 40 feet wide at the base, showed Jesus from the torso up and was nicknamed Touchdown Jesus because of the way the arms were raised, similar to a referee signaling a touchdown. It was made of plastic foam and fiberglass over a steel frame, which is all that remained early Tuesday.

A woman I would have loved to have met

Especially since I use so much symbolism in my art I would have loved to have had a conversation with her...and shared the relevance of the powerful symbols.

Louise Bourgeois, the grande dame of contemporary artists best known for her sculpture and disquieting symbolism, died Monday of a heart attack at a hospital in Manhattan. She was 98.

Ms. Bourgeois acknowledged that the spider imagery in her art was a Freudian symbol of female sexuality, a private symbol of her mother and a celebration of arachnids' crucial predator role in keeping the Earth's insect population in check.

G-boy time!

Ah, its the first time (of many I am sure) that WGB and I took off alone with the G-boy! It was LE day at Gilroy Gardens, so it was PERFECT for him! all those wonderful rides just his size! FUN He wore me out!

I walked over 8,000 steps...when we were leaving he said "Can I go to YOUR  house to relax and watch a movie??" hahahahaha how could I resist???  So after dinner at Applebee's where he freaked out the waiter because he wanted broccoli, we went back to my house to watch The Princess and the Frog and to surprise him with the gifts I bought him at Gilroy Gardens! Hee hee hee what a really fun day!

I love this borrow a boy and get to send him home! LOL I am LOVING this part of my life! We had a great great time...even though we freaked out his mom, because we were having such a great time I didn't check my phone and she was a little paniced! LOL The shoe being on the other foot is HYSTERICAL!

The company announced that Disney died Wednesday in Newport Beach, Calif., after a yearlong bout with stomach cancer.

If the Walt Disney Studios were to have a real-life Jiminy Cricket, it would have to be vice chairman Roy Edward Disney, son of Roy O. Disney and nephew of Walt Disney, the Company's founders. Besides being its conscience, Roy has also been called the "soul of the Company" because he often looks to its past to define its future.

He once said, "The thing that distinguishes us from everybody else, and always has and always will, is our past. The goal is to look over our shoulder and see Snow White and Pinocchio and Dumbo standing there, saying, 'Be this good.' We shouldn't be intimidated by them; they're an arrow pointing someplace."

Boobs on Sun-Maid girl???

In the annals of advertising imagery, few brand symbols are more iconic and recognizable than the Sun-Maid raisin girl. Nevertheless, Sun-Maid recently decided to join Betty Crocker, Aunt Jemima and Mrs. Butterworth's in giving the female face of their product a substantial makeover from a young, early 20th-century girl into a buxom, modern young woman, leading some to say that the newly made-over raisin girl looks like a Barbie Doll in Amish attire...the changes to the 90-year-old icon were actually introduced three years ago.

Additionally, there's been talk hat the new Sun-Maid girl might be given a name and featured in future advertisements doing some of the things modern women typically do, like going to the gym, shopping at the market, and speaking multiple languages, particularly languages native to countries where Sun-Maid, the world's largest producer and processor of raisins and other dried fruits, sells raisins. However, the image on all Sun-Maid product packaging will remain the same, as the new version will only be featured in product advertisements.

I am all for a remake but huge fake looking boobs? Who thought that was ok? And any one that skinny can't have boobs that big that are natural...boobs are fat people!!! And normal bodies have BALANCE...your arms can't be 7 inches wide and you have boobs at size DD cups men! LOL She would fall over before she could walk or hold up the grapes to feed you in your silly fantasy! snort!  Keep your make over...just make her boobs more realistic! Rolling eyes!

"Anytime you start a new therapy, weigh yourself every morning," says George Blackburn, MD, PhD, associate director of the division of nutrition at Harvard Medical School, where he teaches a course that includes a section on drugs and weight gain. "Five pounds is your red flag to check with a physician." Act sooner if you suddenly feel excessively hungry or lethargic. You may have the option of changing prescriptions. "Increasingly, drugs linked to weight problems are being replaced with second-generation alternatives," Blackburn explains. Some are so new that your family physician may not be aware of them, so consider seeing a specialist. A doctor who's trained to treat your specific problem, or at least an internist or an endocrinologist with an interest in obesity issues, will be up on the latest treatments.

In some cases, switching drugs—or readjusting the dosage—isn't an option. But according to Blackburn, eating 100 to 200 fewer calories each day is enough to counteract the kind of weight gain you'd experience on most drugs, especially if you increase your exercise. Below, the drugs most likely to tip the scale and what you can do about it."

Its a merry go round I am staying off of now...still waiting to hear back from my thyroid test to see if it is too high like I think it is...but loosing the weight after meds is a HARD and frustrating thing! This week I am starting to feel some relief! AND people are noticing that I am loosing some! That is a good feeling! Yeah!

Health Care Rant

So I have been having issues with my primary care doctor AND the surgeon I saw. The new clinic I have been going to the last two years are seriously going to kill some one!

I found out today one my friends Biopsy on her breast was screwed up by the surgeon I saw! AND yet another co-workers surgery was screwed up by the same gal!!!! She had cancer ....!!!!!!!

I told my health reps loudly today in a room full of providers and employee's that I would NEVER go back to that clinic and I would rather be seen by a VET !!!!!

Needless to say, I got their attention!!!! They are changing me from the clinic!!!!! I am fed up! AND I will be submitting my issues to some one that I find in charge!!!! It is just not right!
