On Febraury 13, 2013 he was diagnosed with AML leukemia he had a hard battle.  Chemo, 7 bone marrow biopsies, in and out of Emory hospital. In September 2013 he finally was in remission.  He slowly went back to his love and passion of our shop as a incredible tattoo artist.  He's been tattooing over 22 years.  We almost lost our shop when he was sick. This past summer he was asked to compete on Ink Masters but still being under doctors care he had to decline.  

I am hoping he heals up well and gets the opportunity to go on Ink Masters...I love that show!

Great Fun!

We left Santa Nella at 10 am and got to Santa Clarita for a thrift shop at 2:30! Not a bad run at all! We found MANY treasures on our trip...and the best time was had a Zinnia's in downtown Pacedena! Joe who works there was fantastic and was the most memorable and fun time I had the entire trip!  A shout out to him! We talked long about the Day of the Dead and myths and the church. So refreshing to meet some one who gets me about this!

We all had great meals and great finds on the trip! We made our Junk Gypsy Necklaces and wore them to dinner where all of us lost some of our hanging things but we will fix them all when we get home! AND you can even see the photo where I hit my head on the ceiling jumping on the bed! Ha! When we got to Gilroy it was 105 degrees! Yikes Welcome Summer! I am so glad I lost that 11 pounds to be able to wear shorts and my jean skirt!

It was sure nice to get home to see the WGB ... I so missed him!

Healing

Ah...it is bruised but healing...still has the FIRE from hell!

Blow away the tattoo artist

Ah I was wiped out today, it was ROUGH keeping my eyes open at work today...getting a tattoo takes a lot of energy and you pick up the energy around you. I am exhausted! But WGB drove me over to see Paco and give him the $5 I owed him, I was short and he let me go and told me not to worry about it! Rolling eyes! He doesn't know me enough to know I couldn't do that! Giggle

HE LOVED the way it is healing! His favorite part is the sky and the stars! He gave me a big hug! I really like him and his girl friend Lindsey, they are great people!

After that I laid on the couch like a lump and watched season finale of LOST...WOW...that show is some thing else! I am STILL lost! LOL I knit some but mainly I was a lump! It was an interesting time...my ink is BURNING like the fire from hell is on my arm! who knew that color would be so painful...I have never had color before...YIKES...It will make me think if I will do another one in full color or not!

I am exhausted! I sat from 1:00 - 6:15 again...and this time IT'S BURNING! LOL
I think he did a beautiful job though...I am just going to go lay down and not move my arm for awhile! LOL

Its angry right now so it has to calm down...he had to wipe all the blood off to get a good pic! LOL

What a day!

I ended up working longer...but got a call from the tattoo shop they can take me tomorrow at 1:00 pm to do the color! They had a cancellation! Oooooh! So I switched my vacation day from June 27th to tomorrow! SO Excited!!!!!

My friend at work has been having a HELL experience with Dell and fighting to get her new computer exchanged for one that works! I helped her write a letter! I hope things work out! It was such a heavy work day!  Gah... But I was SO happy Mr. Clicker man was NOT there! YEAH! I was supposed to go to Knitting Arts for a knit session...but I couldn't make it because of all the stuff going on!

It was a CELEBRATION day as well! It has been EIGHT years of Freedom today!!!! Yippeee! I am such a different person now and I am so loving life! I think that made me be in such a good mood nothing bugged me today!

I did sit and knit for a bit, but I have been so exhausted I went to bed early!

Today my camera could not figure out my hair color! Giggle...and everyone said I matched my outfit! I guess I did! It makes me giggle!  Look how well my ink is healing!

 
 

Bought a new throw down digital camera

I could NOT handle not having my camera! So I bought a new one AND a card reader for the old one! SO I could down load off the Olympus and have a decent camera until my Sony comes back. Every one noticed how much weight I have lost today...it is amazing that people are starting to see it now! SO excited about that AND my tattoo is STILL ITCHING LIKE A MAD DOG!!!!! I keep having to slap it and put witch hazel on it...

The nice highlight of the day was meeting up with Paule for Lunch! We went Japanese again! YUM it was really good and great conversation...and she got to see the new tattoo too! Over whelming when you first see it! Giggle

Birthday's and sadness

Today we celebrated Liz birthday at work by going out to lunch and I LOVE the salad at Country Gourmet, so that was my dinner too it is HUGE...I took half home for dinner. Of course the BIG boss was there and my so called friend outed me about my ink! SNORT....I don't care I am who I am and I love my tattoo! One of the girls face dropped and I told her NOT to judge me! Giggle  It is shocking when you first see it...



I was able to find a shirt this morning to cover the new tattoo and still have great access to moisturize it!

And I wore the necklace my son gave me on Saturday.

The sad part of the day, I had to take my camera (thank god my son bought a 3 year warranty) the button that takes the photo POPPED off and I was having issues taking photos...now they say it can be UP to 6-8 weeks to get it back from Sony! Sigh

Still a lump

I think healing takes it's time, glad I took the day off, I was a lump and slept most of the day...and can't wait to go to bed! Yikes! I am tired!

Exhausted

Not sure but I think the tattoo zapped my energy, I am one tired girl! Slept most of the day on the couch like a lump...and now I am going to bed!
