Art Supply Storage

I have been putting off getting the washi tape all put together in the makeup drawers...I have so many tapes! I want to make sure to put the ones I want to use all the time in the drawers for easy access. I needed to put all my Meatball washi together. I love the number ones, but some of the others are so darn cute!

And I think I am going to give away some of the washi...send out some happy mail to journaler's so it can be used instead of sitting waiting to be used. I think my next store run will include little packages to send them off! It is a win win, I get to destash some of my supplies and some one gets to enjoy new washi! I am tired of hoarding art supplies! I just want to use them! Enjoy them! Or pass them on!

OMG this is fucking sweet!I cannot help but be in AWE!!! This is so AH-mazing! I can't imagine how long it took to create...but I LOVE it! I can see they used wire to hold it all togehter...woooooosh I am just stunned!

Here is a peek at Extreme Journaling!

I am taking Juliana's class on line and this is what I hope to learn how to do!

Friendship and art...Great for the soul!

Friday through Sunday was spent with some fantastic artists! M.A.R.S. meets up with UGRA artists and what a grand time we all had. We were at camp site and I was expecting RUSTIC instead it was a wonderful GRAND experience, clean and comfortable cabins, and now wifi! No one knew that! I had my iTouch so I was able to check email...  No cell phone service though... which is why I was nervous before I got there, but they had phones in the cabins for emergencies....

Lots of food, drink, laughs and sharing of techniques! I got my weekend challenge done, and it is a mini forest shrine with faes and it turned out really well, I loved it!  Lindsay showed us how to do her scrappy scarf and I finished that on Saturday wet it and dryed it in the dryer too! It is so much fun! I love it a lot! And then we did a doll pin! I was on a roll!  The rest of the time I spent on my CrowAbout journal and just taking everyone in!

Each one of us made a flower and we had a flower exchanged too! I was SO nervous before I left about my flower because I didn't really make mine! I used a silk flower and put them in pots! What I had invisioned was people being able to put some of the other flowers in it too.

I had SO much fun!

Intriguing for sure...I love the idea of this...Read article here. I would think this kind of moving art installation would have to be a nightmare to coordinate and pull off...looks like they did a great job!

Extended play on Dreams

I got to the class a little early to go over to store and buy some supplies! WOWZER do I love the store! Lots of fun things for this journal progress including some of the items that Teesha recommends! SO MUCH FUN!  The only issue I had today was how long it took for lunch...I was dying by the time it got there and I still am a little sick.

But what a GREAT day!!!

I was so happy to get a photo with Teesha and Tracy, and Tracy said "You don't want ME in the photo!" I was like "Yes I do!!! This is a dream come true for me!" It was so much fun seeing all the art going on, it was like electric waves happening in the room! AH-MAZING! And I was delighted to get some photos with Sharen, Cindy and to just see every one playing!

I am going to have to save my pennies and get to their retreats soon!

A dream came true today!

One of my dreams has been to Meet and work with Teesha and Tracy Moore! I am so excited I can't stand it...I can barely think of sleeping tonight! All the images of journaling are snug in my head! Snort! In MY area the Masters of Illustrated Journaling are here! They are lovely people and so awesome in sharing their skills and talent and enouraging us to move through their process and come out the other end with our own journals!

The class was REALLY large! So many fantastic artists in the crowd!  AND some of my friends attended!!!! Yeah for friends and even a Flickr Meet up!!!! I got to play with Coffeelatte who sat across from me!!! Yippee! Fantastic time was had! DELIGHTFUL! Loretta and Sharen were in the class too! Traci Bautista came and sat at my table too! What a great class! The last photo is one of Teesha's pages! Some thing to raise the bar to! ART HEADACHE!!!!! So exciting!

  

Sore throat but still moving...

I decided to dress up in festive velvet for the Holiday Luncheon with some co-workers! Velvet can always make you feel better right?  Well, it does me! Grin...and purple is a good color and to spark it up a bit I wore my orange velvet french scarf I got with Lucy in the French store in Carmel Valley! That was a good memory making day! And I can bring a little Lucy with me through the day!

It was nice to be out of the office and have some fun for a change with my co-workers! What a treat!

A GREAT mail day!

Well, it was MY Monday and I was back at work in basic black to show off my Mermaid Nights Shawl, in deep blues, purples and golds. I love this little shawl, it is enough to keep the chill off here in sunny California, where we think it is COLD at 60!

This was a fun knit and fast too...I should make some more...I get a lot of wonderful compliments in it!

 

I SO enjoyed meeting my new friend Lynn from BennyLoves over the weekend. We instantly connected. I love when that happens. We have a lot in common and I love her knitting!!!! He spirit comes through her art that is for sure! She is a delight and so joyful! If you would love some of her items RUSH to her etsy and pick a few out...that is if "I" haven't taken them all!
