The Gypsy on Adventure

PAIN FREE

WOW! Last night was the first night in THREE years that I went to bed without taking the meds! AWESOME! No spasms! No volleyball in my ass killing me so I can't lay down, moving and not worrying that I was going to cramp up and feel like cutting my leg off! WOW! I may not have slept all night but I was NOT in so much pain that I can't deal!

I am tired...but feel GOOD!!!! I am afraid that the pain will come back, but I am SO excited!!! Maybe this is behind me now! This morning I had to celebrate with a little happy dance! No pain dance! Look at me I can walk and move PAINFREE! OHMYGAWD!

So tonight I sat and had gratitude...and worked on my purple combo shawl...It is working up fast and lacey!  Really kinda fun! OH and some thing new to watch...2nd season of Joan of Arcadia! YEAH!

 

Paper Dolls have left the Building!

Well...all in all the design went well...the only thing I think didn't work like I wanted was the booklet hanging off the side...AND I decided NOT to do double sided removable because every ones seemed flat on the page so I didn't want to do all of that work!

But I like mine...I could have done better...but I like it! AND the fact that it got in priority mail on time is the best! I hate being late!

Fun Day

Ah we all got up without hang-overs thank you! Got ourselves ready, ate breakfast and headed out to do some shopping! This year I decided NOT to spend a lot of money! I will be debt free, I will pay off my new car and I just can't plain afford it! I have many trips to do this year!

So I only spent cash ~ NO credit cards for me...no no! Credit cards = slavery to me! I am going to get debt free!!!! (reminder to self) So that I can go and do the things I want AND so that I can buy the things I want without paying interest!

So I found this awesome baret hat HALF off! Yeah so I got it! Then I found a crown table name holder thing! AND a glitter "G" for Gypsy. AND in this fun French-Garden store I found an old cross and angel that has moss on it. Loved them AND they were only $5 a piece! I bought them! But Suzie girl surprised me by buying me a beautiful white Parisian soap dish for my bathroom! Thank you Suzie! AND I did get some funky unusual earrings that Michael has to fix but they are wonderful! Gypsy style for sure! That was it! nothing else! which is SO great for me! Under $100! I did great! Yeah for control of compulsive shopping!

We went home had a nice lunch spread of cheese, crackers, salsa, chips, olives...I didn't really get to enjoy it with everyone...I was on the phone with my son.

Paper Doll Fatbook

Well...this weekend I have been working on the design for the Paper Doll Fatbook it is 4x10...and after seeing Lucylicious page I kinda freaked...but got my mojo going finally.  I still don't like the back page so I am going to ask Chantal if I could use her Enchanted Wood photo...it will work a lot better I think...

Lots of work to do but it is coming along...The doll will sit on the gypsy chair on the front page...

Scary Scope

HA! I saw Lucylicous Fatbook Paper Doll page and I am FREAKED out! It is gorgeous and I am over whelmed with trying to get mine OUT of my head and on paper! This is going to be a challange!  Lucylicious says do it like AA one step at a time! Giggle Check out her Bella! YIKES!

GREAT Mail day!!!!

Oh yummy day in the Mail world! It came REALLY late in the day close to 4pm...and in there was the Skinny Portals Fatbook! YIKES I AM IN LOVE!!!! AND the HG3 Zine! with TONS of goodies in the envie! Yikes there is tons of stuff!

Off to sit up in bed to read!!! Look at and drool over!

A slow, slow day...

After walking so much at the stamp convention my back was acting out, so I took a pain med last night which made me sleep REALLY late and be groggy all day long. I did not get up or take a shower until well after noon. I am determined to loose significant weight in order to help stop the pain...change in eating...I have changed what I drink. AND I am going to be REALLY positive about the process and embrace my body the way it is now.

Then I did some watercolor painting...worked on some altered books...read some of my zines...a few books...

I worked on my Inspiration Technique book, I ended up cutting a niche in the book and gluing the glass that I embossed on into the book! I put some hand made paper over the page and collaged and painted with Twinkling H20s some! I love how it turned out!

I am still working on my Valentines Day Swap for the Art & Soul Girls...they are coming along, but like Bev my inner critic is yapping at me the whole process long!

I did a lot of catching up with all the tapes I tape during the week...I was two weeks in...and now I am close to viewing all of them! Yeah! Art and good TV.

AND so excited! I caught up with my email and Susie mailed off the Skinny Fatbook Pages!!! YEAH!  I will get the book some time this week! My page is loose because she was afraid the mechanism would not work right bound. Some thing to look forward to this week!

Healing Connections

The Skinny Fatbook I am in for Artistazine, I missed the post date and checked that I could still send them in tomorrow, so since I got the ok from Susie, I decided to put this on the Pull Tag and you will see it when the window comes open!  With Alien passing I completely forgot to send in my pages!!!!

Since Alien passed the meaning of this window finally hit me when I looked at it with fresh eyes! She was telling me the whole time! NO one will see the Alien and date as it will be too far down, but "I" know it is there! The tag says "When a spirit needs to move on you have to open up a window and let them go! Look inside nad try to find the joy left behind in healing play!"

Fatbook delight!

Oh my gawd!!!! Today I received the Di Vinci Fatbook in the mail! YUM YUM YUM! I think this is the BEST book I have been in so far!!! I just love every page! Thin but packed with great art!

AND Angela was sweet and gave me some of her Black Hat Society ATCs I had missed the date I guess and it wasn't swapped with mine...but I gots some great cards! It was REALLY nice of her to include them!

AND she sent me a Gypsy Froggie page of goodies! I wll upload later...this week is a beast! I have to get to bed I have to be at work more than an hour EARLY!!! Training for two days! Yuck! AND I will be grumpy!

Skinny Fatbook Pages Finished!

Ah! I have been working on the Skinny "Windows, Doors, portals, stairways" Fatbook for Artistazine.  AND I am SO excited, it worked up exactly how I thought only better! It is a POP UP window page!!!!  The Skinny Fat book is 8x4...such a wild size!

It is SO cool!  Loretta had showed me an easy pop up card and I immediately thought of doing this for this fatbook! I am so stoked! This is awesome and interactive!!!!  It was really hard for me to wrap my dyslexic brain around but Loretta helped me from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm putting them together! Good thing there were only 26!

I used Alien in this one since she has been so much of my free time and worries lately. She fit perfect for when the window is open! Clapping hands I am REALLY happy with this one!

Loretta! Thank you SO much for playing with me, for teaching me, for being patient with me as we worked on these awesome pages! I could not have done it without you! This is some of my best work thanks to you! HUGS
