Carrie Fisher watching her mom, Debbie Reynolds, perform in 1963 at the Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas.
No I did't know either one of them, but they had a huge impact on my life. I grew up watching all of Debbie's movies. Movies were a big thing in my house growing up. We went 2 or 3 times a week to see a movie when I was with my Grandma and uncle Richard. Then when ever they played her movies I was rivitted to the screen...Tammy and the Bachelor was a personal fav of mine.
This year has broken my heart.
"She said, 'I want to be with Carrie,'" [her son] told The Associated Press by phone from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Reynolds had just died after being rushed there earlier in the day. "And then she was gone."
