Today is a beautiful and delightful day. My son and I drove up highway 92 through Half Moon Bay had lunch at my fav little grill, and drove up highway 1 by the coast looking at the ocean the entire time. So beautiful...cool in Half Moon Bay and 70s in Santa Cruz when we got here.
We are staying at the Dream Inn, and the view to the wharf and the ocean is amazing. I have always wanted to stay here, and it is wonderful. I really like it! For the price I should! hahha
We are here celebrating the birth of my son, it is hard to believe 32 years ago I was ready to pop...I thought every baby came on their due date...he did! I couldn't help but remember the day I was having him...
So tomorrow at 3:14 he turns the big 32!!!! I don't know where the time went I am so blown away that my baby is 32...suddenly I feel so old! I was living in Ben Lomond CA, and I love that area, forest and ocean, he is an ocean baby too, loves the water, and loves Santa Cruz, I had him at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz... It was an amazing experience, 28 hours of labor...the first 5 hrs or so I went shopping! LOL Between contractions I was breathing...waiting for his father to get to Ben Lomond from Mountain View...I seriously thought he was going to flake on me...but he did show up.
Lamaze worked for me...I actually enjoyed the experience. My son not only changed my life, he saved it. I was going down a really rough and hard road before I got pregnant with him, and he made me want to be a better person...he made me want more! AND believe that I wasn't going to die a young death...it was hard being a teenage mom, but I loved taking care of him...I loved how he would change and grow every day! He will always be my pumpkin head! It was him and I against the world.... I am grateful that he changed my life.
What a great experience today, the Inn...we layed out at the pool and then the beach! I walked around the wharf and the boardwalk and then Vernon and I went to dinner at the Aquarius, and then we both walked the Board Walk! So much fun!
What a wonderful loving story!
