Gratitude

Thank gawd for friends who can soothe balm on your soul! Today I needed to walk with Bruce...I feel my spirit literally lift around him! Thanks Bruce! I needed that! And I think I will be going in the direction of Life/art coach AND grief counciling! I have to follow my passion! 

I did REALLY well walking today! No pain at all! whoot whoot

I took my dad to the mall the other day to buy some new shoes (he is 66).

We decided to grab a bite at the food court.

I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him.

The teenager had spiked hair in all different colours - green, red, orange, and blue.

My dad kept staring at her.

The teenager kept looking and would find my dad staring every time.

When the teenager had had enough, she sarcastically asked: “What's the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?”

Knowing my Dad, I quickly swallowed my food so that I would not choke on his response; I knew he would have a good one!

In classic style he responded without batting an eyelid …………

“Got stoned once and had sex with a peacock. I was just wondering if you were my daughter."

I am taking Juliana's class on line and this is what I hope to learn how to do!

Well...it was family day!

WGB and I went to the store picked my daughter up some starter plants since cats dug in her new planters and the seeds may be lost...and got her some chicken wire to help keep the cats out. It was fun trying to find some good plants for her, and we found a few you place the container in the dirt and it biodegrades!!! I love that!  I brought her over some of my plastic containers to start her seeds in...she didn't realize it takes WEEKS to get seedlings strong enough to transplate into your real containers!

Spent the day chilling out and enjoying the G-boy and on our way home my daughter called to tell us my son was going over to her house! He has been in Bizerkely for a Frat event...so we picked up WGBs kids and headed back to my daughters!

We all went out to Olive Garden and celebrated WGBs daughter turning 18! It was funny to be with every one out at dinner! EIGHT of us making noise, laughing and having a great time! That has never happened before...so lots of healing has been happening! It was a fun fun day!

WGB loves to argue with my daughter and her political views...she is a crack up! They are funny to watch interacting! It was such a nice surprise to see my son I just kept kissing his bald head! It was so nice to have all the kids around us!

I am so grateful for my true friends, and you know who you are! I heard a song by Mary J. Blige called  Each Tear, it was perfect timing for today and I am grateful to have it on my iTouch...

Friendship and art...Great for the soul!

Friday through Sunday was spent with some fantastic artists! M.A.R.S. meets up with UGRA artists and what a grand time we all had. We were at camp site and I was expecting RUSTIC instead it was a wonderful GRAND experience, clean and comfortable cabins, and now wifi! No one knew that! I had my iTouch so I was able to check email...  No cell phone service though... which is why I was nervous before I got there, but they had phones in the cabins for emergencies....

Lots of food, drink, laughs and sharing of techniques! I got my weekend challenge done, and it is a mini forest shrine with faes and it turned out really well, I loved it!  Lindsay showed us how to do her scrappy scarf and I finished that on Saturday wet it and dryed it in the dryer too! It is so much fun! I love it a lot! And then we did a doll pin! I was on a roll!  The rest of the time I spent on my CrowAbout journal and just taking everyone in!

Each one of us made a flower and we had a flower exchanged too! I was SO nervous before I left about my flower because I didn't really make mine! I used a silk flower and put them in pots! What I had invisioned was people being able to put some of the other flowers in it too.

I had SO much fun!

Oh! I lurve this short! It should have won an Oscar!

I have been listening to some podcasts on meditation and ran across this, some times it is hard to find balance and the reasons things happen the purpose of my life:

Our habitual thoughts create a whole mind and body experience. Before every thought, of kindness or intolerance, there is an intention behind it. For good or for evil.

• From the deed springs the habit
• From the habit grows the character
• From the Character grows the Destiny!

So our intentions create our life experience...
