The Gypsy on Adventure

Class with Ann Denise with crepe paper! AND such a surprise that Jazzy was the other student in my class!! We met in Chrysti's class last year and had a blast! I love her! I had so much fun in this class! We had one on one instruction from Ann Denise who I wish lived here in California instead of Texas! We laughed and laughed and snorted and laughed! We had a good time... I kept telling her she was dealing with the remedial student! I came on the short bus! LOL Crepe is harder than it looks!

She rocked though, by being patient AND funny! She had the table so sweet when we got there, little goodies! AND fun! She even had a tray for our hot glue guns! Such a sweetie! I enjoyed her so much AND she is rooming with Lisa and her mom! Hysterical! I wish I could camp out there too! LOL But then we would never sleep!

After classes Julee asked me to join her with some other ladies for dinner at the Blue Agave! Julee, Donna, Pam, Laura and I cannot remember the other ladies name who I sat by! She was delightful and I will eventually remember I hope! What a nice dinner, again lots of laughter and good food! : D

 

Ah...got up, readied myself, ran around like a chicken without my head attached. Left and got up to Pleasanton, CA around noon. My friend Fan was ready to go to lunch, she had the rest of the day off. We went to the Cheese Cake Factory and I had a nice salad AND the piece of cheese cake!!! YUM  We did some errands...got her a new purse and we went to Michael's so I could get a glue gun, I am standing in line when I realize and scream LISA!!! Lisa Kettell was standing in front of me with her mom! LOL

I couldn't believe it! How wonderful to see her! But sadly it was because the airline lost her luggage, hence our art supplies for class! bad bad airline! It was a direct flight! so WTF was that about!? 

Then Fan and I went to her house talked to her mom for a bit then she drove me back to Pleasanton for the Gallery. I got to go to American Harvest bought a little charm and a Paris Eiffle tower...in glitter! It was a good day. I met up with Yvonne and Jennifer who I met LAST year, but they didn't take classes last year, they invited me to dinner and we had a wonderful experience!!! Jennifer paid for me, how nice was that!? It was so fun having dinner with them great great laughs! Great night...even though I continued to swell! Sigh.

When we got back to the gallery Jon had stopped singing, Yvonne is such a kick he said he would sing us one song, and it was the wedding band song. He was SO sweet to do that for us! So the photo has Jennifer on the left and Yvonne on the right!

I know I will have a good time at ZNE Art retreat...just have to relax and go with it! I don't know why I get this way, it is just silly.

Today was my Friday, AND I got to see Mary! It was her day to come down and pick up her stuff! I just SO miss her! We went and had a coffee and talked as much as we could before I had to get back to work. I just really really miss her! She was my knitting buddy! And we were just so connected! She got me! I got her! It is fun and easy...

We are not going to let our friendship go...we are going to work at staying close!  Before I left work I noticed she threw one of her plants away, I took it home and repotted it and fed it, hoping I can revive the poor thing. She just didn't want to take care of one more thing right now so she left it! Maybe I can surprise her with it! Giggle

I wore my Secret Lentil top and Helen, the designer and maker contacted me to tell me HOW cute I am in her top! How awesome is she!!!! Ok...off to pack for ZNE. AND I must say, I am LOVING my hair!

Today was a total PINK day! LOL I wore a pink outfit, my pink jewelry and my Pink rose bloomed so beautiful I wanted to eat it! YUM! Wore my new shoes and my feet were a bit swollen...not bad though.

Started to knit a Noro scarf to match my hat!

Today we went on a bike ride at Los Gatos Trail, we thought we might ride to down town and have lunch, but it was WAY too far for me! LOL I got winded and we turned back! LOL It was a beautiful trail though! I think we both had fun. AND I found out that WGB has been sneaky and smoking...I am disappointed...because he has some issues and this is not going to help. But his son is a pain in the ass and creating stress for him...so he is sneaking smoking damn it. After the bike ride we had lunch back in Mountain View at Clarks burger, yum and I had a Corona! It was so good! And helped me pee the swelling away! LOL

I finished my Noro Hat today! I am SO happy with it! It really is a nice looking hat!!!

And the Garden is doing well! Really growing nicely! I even fed it! Whoot whoot!

I love this illustration! Jorge always inspires me! It reminds me that woman are NOT the only one's that have self-image issues! I forget that men have their standards as well. We are not all that different are we! What a great sketch! I so love the details in his canvas man!!!! (It makes you wonder who the Ambassador is ... and what he looks like.)

But his own hands and feet! I have to keep working at sketching! Maybe some day mine will turn out as great!

Some days it is just hard to be ehem, a chunky girl.  When NONE of your jeans fit it is a discouraging day...so I went clothes shopping and got my SIZE today...poo...and I will be happy that I have pants that fit my lushious bootie as Chica Flaminca tells me!!!! LOL I just have to keep my sense of humor and laugh at myself...there is just no denying that I am fat anymore!

Let me tell you, FULL wrap around mirrors are NOT my friend! I was VERY depressed looking at myself trying on clothes...that I have gone UP a size in my jeans! Seriously cannot hide my gut now! really it is so much more important that I hang on to my self-esteem now and just love myself RIGHT where I am! sigh...

The most important thing to keep in mind, I will have clothes that fit as I go off to ZNE. Who care's about the rest. Even big girls can have fun clothes! Just because we are ehem, chunky. Doesn't mean we want frumpy!

The irratating thing was the experience with Macy's...lets just say I will NEVER shop there again and I have closed my acct with them!

The rest of the night was spent knitting and catching up on programs.

Seriously glad it is Friday...some down time...and prepare for my ZNE conference next week. Watch my Friday show, and chill out. Loving the weekend vibe. I am not as swollen today, but I took the water pill. Just tired from anxiety.

Ok so I had to take some time off work, I had an ultra sound on my leg...good news, no clots...No reason for swelling...checking kidney functions again...waiting for that test. Well it hurts, AND it is a bit scary! Because the things that are usually the cause are blood clots, congestive heart failure, and diabeties...all not good...today I did the ultrasound and they called me back with good results...

I think I am just going to have to REALLY watch salt...keep exercising...and take those water pills to get rid of it for now...I think it may be my back being out...they say no, but my back has been really out since Feb and this started in March....and my thyroid was whacky...but now "normal range"... so we shall see!

Ok, since I have no blood clot in my leg, I am going to just get serious about reducing any added salt...eating LESS processed foods, since if you don't make it you don't know how much salt is in it...and try to keep it low...Keep up my walking and bike riding...continue to take the water pills to flush it out, and she gave me potasium since I could be flushing it out. And if I can loose enough to relieve the back a bit maybe this swelling will go away!

So for tonight a healthy salad...and the swelling is coming down with the water pill...
