Peters photo just spoke to me about Lucy....and her journey here ending, when I think of her now it will be like a feather on the wind, a feather so strong as to let a bird fly and so soft and to brush against my face and change my life so powerfully as I stand to face the setting sun on the beach, one so free that she can be the mermaid she always wanted to be ... to go any where she wanted to go, with all the jewels and glitter the sea has to offer.
Ah, Thank you SoManyIdeas for this wonderful prayer...it is comforting
and I will remember this on my journey to try to find my balance and
say, I am BETTER for knowing Lucy, and I am BETTER for knowing you!
Native American Prayer
I give you this one thought to keep -
I am with you still - I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the sweet uplifting rush,
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft starts that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone -
I am with you still in each new dawn.
what a lovely dedication piece!

My condolences dear friend. May Lucy rest in peace now. I contributed the same poem (a bit different version) and had it read at my sister's funeral. It is a comforting piece...
