I decided to dress up in festive velvet for the Holiday Luncheon with some co-workers! Velvet can always make you feel better right? Well, it does me! Grin...and purple is a good color and to spark it up a bit I wore my orange velvet french scarf I got with Lucy in the French store in Carmel Valley! That was a good memory making day! And I can bring a little Lucy with me through the day!
It was nice to be out of the office and have some fun for a change with my co-workers! What a treat!
I swear the place we go feeds us like we are an army or something! I
think I gained weight just LOOKING at all the food. Salad, bread,
pizza, 2 kinds of pasta, chicken breast AND dessert on top of it!
Coffee and cokes too. On the way back we stopped for some Starbucks and
of course the damn machine wouldn't take my card...so we stood and
waited for it to accept it...try to do some thing nice and machines
will get you every time! Snort
Hysterical antics with the gift exchange...I don't participate in it...but man one of our co-workers was PISSED she got her gifts stolen like 6 times! She did not have a good time! In the end she got an Ildivo CD which I thought was nice...
RAOK ... Random Acts of Kindness
Then
there was a surprise on my desk...Rose one of our volunteers gave me a
stack of hand made tea cookies! YUM I love these! And Loreli from
Flickr, who is funny, sweet and a kindred spirit sent me a RAOK of a
beautiful gypsy hankie she made, a fun tattoo AND gypsy earrings! What
a sweet heart! Made my day brighter!
Loreli has been inspiring me to pick up my needles again! I swear I think it has been at least 3 years now since I have done ANY embroidery! Yikes! This is a woman who used to do at least 15-30 minutes a day if not 4-8 hours a day! I think I need to put the paper away for awhile and stick to my fiber love.
