Today I got to have a long lunch with Pallie! She is in town for the holidays, and I have missed her! She is the woman I adopted to be my mom about 15 years ago! She is hysterical and sarcastic and wonderful for my soul!
AND she did too much for the gifts with me...she yelled at me last year for doing too much so I did less this year and SHE went over board! LOL I made her the mini mittens, mini scarf and her real scarf and an assembalage! LOL
But I do love every one of the gifts she gave me. Funny story, on their anniversary Bob and her went to an old Victorian house B&B and in the gift shop Bob said doesn't that look like Gypsy? Pallie said don't be stupid she has black hair!!! He said NO it looks like the old things she likes! LOL So they bought it for me! AND since I had this one today I had to put back up my Victorian ladies over my mantle!!!! Such a wonderful day! Never enough time!
The sad thing is this year, they always stay with a friend here near me, a delightful man, Don, who lost his wife Gwen 2 years ago, well earlier this year he was diagnosed with cancer and they don't think he will last into the new year...this makes me so sad...he is a wonderful man and I cannot believe this picture of them was taken EXACTLY a year ago today, and he will not be with us long. I really got to love him over the years. He is a very good friend! From left to right Bob, Pallie's husband, Pallie and Don...
