Happy Thanksgiving!

There is nothing better than waking up late...not having to get dressed and be able to laz around your house...no make up no hair up do...and watch the parade. That is my tradition...I always have the parade on! Usually I am cooking the turkey by now, but with not feeling all that great we decided to go with the honey baked ham and turkey this year.

So around the time we want to eat I will start the other fixings and heat up that great honey baked items! Oh how easy is that! I will cook stuffing so it will take a few hours for that, I am making some bread and rolls...but what a great lazy day!

Thanksgiving prep

Today we went grocery shopping, and I was able to find this stuff that I LOVE! It is Pomagranite Italian Soda! And it is GOOD!   Oooosh so good! I bought 2! The WGB bought the Turkey and Ham and I bought all the stuff that goes with it! All fresh! I can't wait! It is going to be easy and good! I haven't been feeling so good, so low key is great! AND Pie! It can't be a holiday without PIE!

I continued to clean and de-clutter...improvements are happening...and Crackers is STILL not happy with us and the medication! AND our vacation is going by way too fast damn it!  AND I started a Manly Scarf for one of the men in my life for Christmas...

Aging beauty

I talked to my grandmother today, who will be, I found out today 89 not 90...looks like she may have to have open heart surgery...we will wait for what the doc says on Dec 20th, he may not think she is a good candidate for the surgery...

Declutter and clean...

I spent most of the day decluttering and cleaning my family room space...granted my studio space IS a disaster! I am starting to gain on it...there is movement and it took me months to get it this way it will take me time to fix it!  The kitchen is looking good for Thanksgiving too!

Accomplishments!

Ah today I finished the Orange Ribbon scarf and I think I did quite well for being new!  Truly this color orange is a brilliant color. I am going to try to make a hat out of this as well. I have to figure out how to connect the row together and work up in the circle.

Round Robin Scarves

My art group is doing a Knitted Round Robin Scarf project. I finished Beth's scarf today and ripped out Lucy's again and redid it with another color...for the 3rd time! I am really hard on myself when I am in swaps...

Of course the count was off and I decreased in Lucy's scarf and you can tell...but I had to let it go or they would never get done! SO I am going on with it even if it is not perfect!

The first two photos are Beth's, and she left both side's available to stitch, so I did both sides and I am done with her scarf!  The top blue is silk and feels wonderful and the bottom is some kind of wonderful yarn I had without the label on it, but I love the fringe on it!  They are going to be 72 inches I guess! Each person does 9" twice on each scarf.

A little Friend Time...

This morning one of my best friends stopped in for a visit! We went out and had a great breakfast at the Original Pancake House and talked and talked and talked...about retirement! How weird is that!!!!  LOL Who knew that some day 24 years after we met we would be considering retirement! LOL

Then we talked about her getting BACK into photography, this time with digital! So we went on a shopping hunt for a good camera, she wrote down notes. And we know it will be a Sony or a Canon. 

She took my first digital camera an old Olympus, but she can get the idea of IF she wants to do more with it...and what she would like it to do! I sent her home with the mini tri-pod too! LOL SO I can't wait to get her on Flickr! LOL

Sick girl

So we are back to having to give Crackers medicine, which she hates! We have to wrap her like a burrito and she hates it...this is SO traumatic I cannot do it! If it wasn't for the WGB she would not get her meds, she bullies me! LOL But it doesn't scare the WGB!  Today she snapped the syringe we have to use to give it to her! Lucky we were smart and got like 10 from the vet! NO needles attached...just a way to get the meds in her... The first photo she was squaking at me about WHY are you taking my photo mom! And then the 2nd unhappy with the meds! I will BITE the towel and pretend it is YOU! LOL

Gratitude

It is the 10th year that our Police Department has put on a program called Cops & Gobblers, where we give out laundry baskets full of food and certificate for a turkey. Added to the baskets are stuffed bunnies for each kid in the family.

New Necklace

Ah today I rearranged the necklace...these charms are from a swap I did with Angela's group including some Flickr friends! It was stressful for me but I ended up doing ok...next time I would use claw clasps on mine for easy use on a bracelet or necklace! And I used my silver crown clasp! LOVE it! This is fun...
