Here is the Recipe for the layered Jello. First layer: (Usually done night before)
- 1 ½ Cups boiling water
- 1 large Cherry Jello
- 1 14 oz can crushed pineapple
- 1 14 oz can jelled whole berry cranberry sauce
Dissolve jello in boiling water. Once dissolved, add the crushed pineapple (partly drained) and then the cranberry sauce. I break up the cranberry sauce with a spoon while stirring so there are no chunks. Pour into pyrex rectangular pan 13x9. Let set overnight.
Spread one pint of sour cream over the layer of set Jello. Return to the refrigerator while you prepare the Top layer.
Top Layer:
- 1 ½ Cups boiling water
- 1 large Strawberry Jello
- 1 bag frozen strawberries Slice strawberries while they are partly frozen.
Then put in microwave to defrost. Dissolve jello in boiling water. When the Jello is dissolved add strawberries. Pour over sour cream. Cover and put in refrigerator until set. So the name of this is actually called Raspberry Cranberry Jello.
The top layer is supposed to be Raspberry Jello with frozen Raspberries added. But the seeds in the raspberries get stuck in my teeth so I changed it to Strawberries. I hope you enjoy. Jen
