When your new medical building has this kind of art it makes you wonder if you can afford your care!

I got up early this morning and got to the lab at 7:30 am and there were already tons of people there...my veins did not behave as usual! And since I had to fast no coffee!

So the WGB took me to breakfast and coffee first thing after the lab and then after breakfast we went for a walk at my fav park again...

Then it was just all about knitting...

Oh...I am sad...

Oh I didn't know that Susanna Oroyan had cancer, apparently she just passed away yesterday. How sad for the doll world and the world in general. She was such a joy! I enjoyed her work, her books and always wanted to take a class by her!

New Doc

Well met the new doc so far so good...got some new prescriptions including for my asthma. I didn't get all my questions answered...I forgot to ask some. But I got a Mammogram scheduled and a number for a hearing test.

Then I went and took a walk in my fav park. It was hot! but it felt good.

Then I did some knitting...and planning for my clutter projects. And puttered in the garden.

I am lusting after this!

Subject:  For my peeps who thought I may have died in the 7.9 quake...

Shit! a couple hours after landing in Lima Peru a massive earthquake blasted the plates!! my cousin and I are alive and well in Brazil enjoying one hell of a crazy adventure in a land that we dont speak the language. what is portugese for "there is no toilet paper?" and why the hell are there eight chicken hearts chillin in my lower intestine? a new respect for the U.S. is brewing in my mind... wish us luck for the rest of our trip and safe return.

(Mom has absolutely no comment other than it is about fucking time the kid contacted me!)

Old Friends

Ah, when old friends get together it is like time has not passed. I met up with Sally and her sister and oh my gawd, laughed until I cried! She had so many stories! Too funny...we went to Maxim's in Campbell. Good food and the poor training waiter had to put up with us! We cackled like crones!

I had the best time trying to see through my tears!

When I first met Sally I KNEW that I knew her from some where...I used to stand and stare at her, because I KNEW that I knew her...we couldn't figure it out! Until one day my step monster called and said do you know Sally -----? I hit the floor! I knew her as a child!!! My dad was friends and worked with her first husband AND I played with her son Michael who was around my age!!!! FREAKY! They lived in Palo Alto near my dad and then later both families moved to Concord. Just to fucken weird!

There is another wicked story but I can't put it here because the people are still alive! LOL Just let me say it is typical of my family! LOL

It was nice catching up with her! I haven't seen her in so long...even though we keep up on email.

Doggie cuteness!

Oh so cute! I saw this on Ricë Freeman-Zachery blog, and had to play! Like Ricë said, type in commands like, "Sit" and "Stay" and "Jump" and "Beg." When you are done type in "Kiss". Too adorable!
