We got started early. Out to breakfast by 8:30 at the iHop! What a nice breakfast to get our carbs in for a long day of travel fun! We hit many Goodwill's and thrift stores!
Then it was off to Ron's Garden Store! Eye Candy Coma!!! SO many things we wanted for our gardens! IDEAS everywhere! I took tons of pics to remember what we wanted to do! Gardening IS art when it is done Ron's way! So many fun items and I walked out wondering WHAT I spent $41 dollars on! When I got home I found the two spoons were to blame! $13 each! But I got a nice pearl one last time and this time I picked out the cobalt blue! It reminds me of the good times every time I use them! : )
Then it was off to the 25 cent store! We were SO disappointed! They closed! Devastated!
So we went to the Funky garden store instead next to it...EVERYTHING was 50% off! Great funky things! I bought a mermaid for my garden to sit next to my mirror! AND a cool hanging dragon that has stained glass wings! I wanted to bring home SO many things for the garden! Great prices!
After we put everything in the car I HAD to pick up a great looking goddess statue and yup my worst nightmare! BEE STING! Yikes! Yikes! Yikes!!! We rushed to the drug store where I got some Benedryl! Lucky for me I didn't swell up as much as I did 20 years ago when I got stung and I was able to pull the whole stinger out! It stung me in between my thumb and first finger on my left hand! So at least I could write and do things! Egads! I didn't let it get me down! Even though the pain hit my elbow and stayed there!
Then it was off to Morro Bay! We stopped at Fosters Freeze to go potty and have a small ice cream! Lots more Thift stores and cool stores! AND we foudn the Old Paris store with beautiful things! The woman gave Beth a beautiful broken piece of jewelry that looks like a crown.
I found TWO Cold Creek outfits for like $7 and $3, a silver tray to put my rings on at night, a faboo hat with a pin on it! (Thanks Beth I still owe you $$$) So much fun digging through things!
We found some fun stores with fairys and lushious fibers that were way over priced! They were having a festival downtown too! But we got seperated for a little bit and it took us a while to find each other! We learned to have our cell phones ON! While we were seperated I stopped at a store called Le Petite great clothes! I bought a dress for $22 and a pair of funky paints and a new set of sunglasses! The woman GAVE me a dragonfly pin.
We were TIRED and HUNGRY! We stopped for dinner and boy was it wonderful! Good friends great food and some time off the old feet that were barking like dogs!
It is so nice to be on the road with friends and that we get along so great and so much fun together! I think we do need depends when we are together! I enjoy how much like eachother! The dinner was very nice...but I couldn't eat it all...After dinner we drove back to the motel.
Gypsy!! You were in Morro Bay and went to Rons/??? I wish I had known, I am only 1/2 hour away from Rons and would have loved to have met you there! Maybe next time!

OHMYGAWD what a dork! I don't know why I thought you were further!!!!!
That will teach me not to talk about a trip before I go!
If you turn left out of Rons and go to the the end the funky garden store is on the left! It is fun! And if you go this weekend I hope they have just as good or better deals! Lucy is thinking about going back this weekend it was so good! I wish I had bought MORE things and not been so conservative but I was trying to be good money wise...and I got things but under $200 with is FANTABULOUS for me! Giggle
I usually spend a lot...but with what happened with Squeekers and costing over a 1K I just couldn't justify it...and of course with my new car...I still owe the worlds greatest boyfriend for that! : )
Oh! I can kick myself! I can tell you we will be going again hopefully this summer! would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see you! I will keep you posted! Hugs! Gypsy
