When we stopped we hit the Bead Store and picked up a couple of beautiful drop beads! I think I will use them on the Silk Ribbon Fleur we are making! Yeah! Or put them in a knitted scarf.
Then we went to lunch at F. McLintochs downtown SLO. Nice food! Great atmosphere to start our trip off right!!! I had a nice Spinich salad with breast of chicken and a beautiful dressing. Bev had some terrific garlic frys! OHMYGAWD it was the best! She shared them with us! So yummy!
The waitress was so nice and the food so good what a great lunch! and then we walked it all off! They have some fun stores there! We went into Hands Gallery and I fell in LOVE with an artist that does the Day of Dead in his art...painted tiles! The price wasn't bad...but I resisted! I was intreged with it, that was the first time I have seen the graves depicted in the background and footprints going into the house where the skelly was kneeling and praying... It really moved me!
I did however, buy the Melting Witch!!! I couldn't resist it! LOVE it! I tried to be careful! It is so hard finding great stores and not spending! I could have gone MORE nuts! Wowza! We did get to the Stamp Store we wanted to go to! I found a great stamp like an old letter and I bought the Gypsy Carmen! Hee he hee had to have it! It is the same one that Beth used on our tags!!! I also found a fun card of Saint Lucy who plucked her eyes out and placed them on a plate, when you moved it the eyes show up on the plate.
Then we decided to Check in to the hotel and to our bamboo tile swaps. And Lucy and Bev got their bracelets done...dyslexic girl had a hard time learning the technique and Beth decided to finish hers later too. They all turned out so fun!!! AND Lucy surprised us with altered tins to hold our bracelets in! SO fun! Thank you Lucy!!!!
We freshed up and had to meet Priscella for dinner!
