Last night after I came home from my massage there were three boxes from Missouri, but I was so tired I left them for today and went to bed...I got through two boxes today. I haven't opened the third yet. I was SO overwhelmed with happiness, joy, and sheer delight!
My dad packed up things my grandmother wanted me to have. I am SO excited! A box of baby doll nighties, gloves, purses, scarves, tatting, collars ... including a fox one! And some photos of her that were taken recently! There was another piece of tatting that my Great-grandmother had made, it will match the one she gave me 13 years ago or so. I am so happy!
I was so overwhelmed all I could do was cry! When we talked the day she mailed it, she said she felt foolish because AFTER she mailed them she thought everything was crap! I had to tell her today that she was SO wrong! I love everything! Most of the items are over 30 years old...and I am in heaven! I am SO going to wear them! I am just so excited! I still have to take good photos, I was just to, overwhelmed tonight, of all the wonderful items! The weird thing...everything smells like my grandma's house...so strange to have it in my house so strong. It made me feel so much more close to her today! I needed that connection!

One of my favorite items of my grandmother's, is an old slip of hers (does anyone even wear them any longer?) ... She MADE me put one on under my uniform before school one morning, when i tried sneaking out without one on... i never gave it back to her, and so glad i didn't!!
