Well today was supposed to be the hotest day of the year for us...and it was! However, I had my step mother stopping by around 9 am and I took her to Half Moon Bay! What a delight! A cool 70...we went to a little diner there that reminds me of some thing out of the 50s to have breakfast and some conversation! You can see I was a good girl and wore a hat...so my rosasia won't act up!
We walked down town looking at shops and met a funny friend! Then and sat on a bench in the shade for over an hour (my leg is swelling again, looks like the yoga and back injury are having fun!) and just people watched and more conversation! What a REALLY PLEASANT day!
I had a really good giggle when I saw this manequin head! I have been seeing a lot of them on Flickr and thought about a week ago how much I would LOVE running into one! Then as we were in the store Hey Jude, I looked up and sure enough there was the giggling head! I so wanted to take it home! Reddirtrose on flickr has these! FUN FUN FUN!
Then of course to my favorite shop Tolkenz...and they forgot to put one of my dresses in the bag! GAH...So they have to mail it to me...I will have to call them tomorrow because I didn't notice it today, until I drove ALL the way home and it was too late! Gah!
We went to Moss Beach Wharf for lunch...I can't remember the name of the place but I had a beautiful meal there! The waitress was really sweet even if Margarite was a little snippy with her from the heat. We had more time for great conversation! And just a few laughs. It has been a nice surprise with her being here in California...
You could tell when we got home just what a difference it was between the coast and inland! Yikes! Instant melt! My leg and ankle was so swollen again that I spent the evening icing it! And working on my pages! And my poor furry babies are just spent! I wish I could help them!
The best portion of a good man's life is his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and of love. William Wordsworth
Always keep that happy attitude. Pretend that you are holding a beautiful fragrant bouquet. Earl Nightingale
