Ah! Some Zine Reviews are in! Drum Roll Please! (What nice things people are capable of saying!)
Chantal:
Hello Gypsy,
Just a quick note before going to bed to let you know I received your zine in this morning's post!!! So the timing was perfect in the end. Just on time for Los Dias de los Muertos!
I just finished reading it and loved it. I particularly love how you honored your grandmother in this zine, mixing the personal with the cultural. Loved the purple/lavender cover and pages and the skull-butterflies!! I'm sooo glad you didn't give up over printer problems and completed your zine. I also received Orla's this morning. Talk about synchronicity!!! :-) And I'm so glad everybody is expressing themselves as they are, creating zines that can only be created by them and no other. The themes, the style, the form... all different, unique and equally interesting and intriguing. I feel really confident about making my first one after seeing yours, Elsie's and Orla's because I now know that I can create in any format and on any theme I choose, that there are no rules really (Orla didn't include any text except for that interview, for instance), and therefore no expectations. Thank you for that gift!!!
I love my mailman! He brings me such great things, not just bills :-)
Off to bed now. Hope you had a magic gypsy day.
Hugs
Chantal
P.S: is the cover photo tweaked in Photoshop or something. If not, it's a great costume you were wearing that day. Fabulous and fantastic.

She was my Secret Pal on one of the boards as well...and she mentioned she liked zines...
Gypsy, I feel like I know you! I love your zine, especially the cover. All the images draw me in..they are perfect.
I had such fun opening all the myriad goodies... I love Vickie's stamps...and my favorite is "She had more places to go than one lifetime would allow." The fabrics are delicious...and I had some great skeleton fabric just waiting for something to go with it...these are perfect. :)
What can I say...the lace, the beads and charms, the images....they are all wonderful.
Thank you so much!
