Well I went to Art & Soul website to pre-sign up for the classes coming in February! I am SO excited I can barely stand it! If I get in, I will be staying off site at my girlfriend Lucy's home!  A mini-retreat...with ART! Whoot

I love doing art with Lucy, and being able to go home at night and share all that was done that day is going to be awesome! I am hoping that some of the other art ladies will go! This could be a lot of fun!

Fat Book

Ok, so I finished the 40 pages with embellishment. Still hate it.

So I am doing a whole other set...that way let the hostess decide what to do...Now I ran out of glue...so have to go to the store tomorrow and finish things so I can mail it out on Tuesday!

FRUSTRATION

Gah...ok so I decide on the art work...I print on a laser printer the artwork onto colored cardstock...then I spend the time cutting it out...and my bones now hurt on my fingers...but the thing I am complaining about...

You bend the paper into a fold and the damn photo pops off...you know the color...and nicks occur...and how the  hell do you embellish? I bought TONS of supplies nothing is working...

I sat and created little beaded wired things to hang...AND IT RUBS OFF THE DAMN ARTWORK...GAH...this is a DISASTER...Mine are going to look horrible...ok, ok, they are my first ones, but my gawd what the hell am I doing wrong???? I hate it! This may be the ONLY damn fat book I ever do...even though I signed up for the King Arthur one...I may back out of it...and call it a day... this just may not be my medium.

I know I am too damn picky...I am just so disappointed in the way mine are turning out and I have a deadline LOOMING! GAH

Scope

Humf

Today I got a package in the mail from my son, it was my grandmothers internment book from her funeral service in 1981. I wasn't expecting that. Apparently I was meant to get this today. Kind of falls into the Death thing that is happening.

There were three photos of her at her Eagles Meetings, here I am sure she was the President again, 1950 something I would guess! This photo has my fathers mother Mary in it as well...talk about a trip! I just talked to Grandma Mary on my birthday...I will have to send her this! She will totally laugh! What cracks me up is how busty she is there! And I don't know what Mary was wearing, but I swear that she looks the same! Granted a little older...but man the same!

Here is a photo I took with her more recent! Same face! Same good complexion! Sheesh! She is 86...healthy and happy. Notice the glasses? I think they are the same! Grin

I just found this blog, I tripped over it really, and can't remember how I was led there. I think I needed to see it today. I have to tell you I loved this entry about the Past, Present, and Future. His dad was very wise! And I have to embrace it and remember it!
