David Bowie's laying low this year, but that doesn't mean he's completely shut off from the music business. Bowie has teamed up with producer and remixer BT for a new song called "(She Can) Do That," which will be on the soundtrack to the new Jamie Foxx movie called Stealth. A message from Bowie on his official davidbowie.com Website reads, "BT wanted me to write the lyrics and top line melody for a backing track that he had written and produced for the forthcoming Jamie Foxx movie Stealth. I wrote my part in New York and recorded it...(and) I then sent the...parts back to BT in L.A., and he did the mix there."
The Stealth soundtrack is due July 12, while the movie opens July 29, 2005.
Back in February, Bowie said he was staying off the road this year, meaning "(She Can) Do That" just might be the only taste of new Bowie material we get for the immediate future.
