Ah, the other day a gal from one of the artboards, June, who is my neighbor in a sense, she lives a few towns over from me, which I am very excited about, we have been emailing and getting to know each other, sent me a link to a LOCAL artist who has a studio in MY city! I had never seen the website...I was so excited that I contacted the artist and we are going to meet up!
How fun is that! June, I didn't get a chance to tell you that yet! Well this local artists has classes on pop up books that one class has to do with FROGS! I am taking it! Then she has a few others I am very interested in!
So of course I had to email her back and say ANYTIME but Sunday...I have a bbq to go to! But HOW exciting is that! Wasn't that a wicked surprise in the email today! I am hoping that June will be able to take a class with me as well! So wonderful indeed! When the student is ready the teacher will appear! Poof! The teachers are appearing and I am very lucky to be open to them!

The OTHER surprise was my package from Turtle Press, back issues of their zine Dog Eared Magazine! Whoot...now here are the freaky things that happen to me...I open up one of them and who do I find inside? You guessed it Jaki from Pigwings and promises! WOW...talk about confirmation!
It is like finding Traci and the next day I got the magazine in the mail with her art in it! Makes my head spin ~ literally! It is a very small world...also, fascinating was that I saw Lunaea Weatherstone's work and article in it! I have one of her Rosaries ~ which I think I made her head hurt when she was designing it, because I wanted a Gypsy on the front with a frog on the back...and in my usual colors of blue and purple with silver...the Rosarie had a mind or spirit of its own...it HAD to be made in greens and gold! And it is FABOO! It was a birthday present to myself last year! I wear it all the time!
