Tonight Monicarol shared her watercolor and salt papers she did! YUMMY colors. She said she could not duplicate them. She used the liquid watercolor and table salt! She said they were ugly until they dried and it didn't show the burst until then either! I am going to try that! She also used an eye droper to drop the different watercolors. (I had to ask her AGAIN what her name was...I am better at remembering faces!)
Loretta talked about saving the colored salt for other projects...boy if you are creative...you can use EVERY THING! Nothing has to go to waste!
We were able to see some of the things Traci is working on and hear about what she is working on at home. And it is pretty exciting about how her book deal is wrapping up, plus she is going on a trip to Taiwan in June...busy lady! So excited for her!
I painted a little in the teapot book and cut out some stuff...just really soaked up the energy and listened to everyone in the group! I get so inspired!
Lizzy brought in a stash of fabric for everyone...I did take a piece to use on the teapot book...I need fabric like a need a hole in my head! It was so nice to see that Christie came...she has a new baby and it is so hard to get out of the house! She is very talented! She is also doing pink and orange colors! She sat at my table tonight with Wendy. Christie offered to teach me how to knit...I will have to take her up on that! I need to use that yummy yarn from Carolyn! Maybe when I get the purple one I just ordered comes I will set up a time!
Oh my, what gorgeous paper! How many more weeks of classes do you have? Ah, just being there to soak up the energy and inspiration from the other artists makes the class worth taking. Glad you are having a great time w/ it. :-)
