Insist on yourself; never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life's cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another you have only an extemporaneous half
possession... Do that which is assigned to you, and you cannot hope too much or dare too much.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
You must do the thing you think you cannot do.
Eleanor Roosevelt
Every time I am around other artists whom I really enjoy their art, I start to think in the cracks of my soul that I am not good enough to stand on my own art...it is a fleeting abomination of a thought, but I notice it. So these quotes remind me that I am good enough just the way I am, just how my soul is cracked, my heart broken, my expections too high...I am who I am meant to be. I just have to embrace it and move toward the artist inside myself!
