Ha! I decided to have my hair cut...it was a day from hell...so I was nervous that my hair cut would go as well as my day was going! I would swear it was a full moon without the full moon! What a week!
Last time I got my hair cut in March, I told the gal it was ok to take off 5 inches and she butchered me by taking off NINE inches that sent me to my bed depressed and crying for 2 days! So I was very nervous about meeting a new guy to cut my CURLY hair! There is a difference with CURLY hair! You take off 3 inches and it looks like 6 inches were taken off!
So Larry, thats my new hair guru, who is FABOO! At least I feel that way tonight...I will see tomorrow as my hair is trying to dry with my new layers screaming in shock to behave I am sure! Anyway, Larry has long CURLY hair as well! Ah, sigh of relief, a stylist that LIKES LONG HAIR! This is important, because I find that some stylist (Not all mind you) but some DO NOT like long hair or have long hair ENVY! So they just have to ruin YOUR long hair! Which is why up until this year I had not cut my hair in over SEVEN years! I had the fear of secret long hair hate!
What I liked about him was when he said "I get that people with long hair don't secretly want short hair, they like their long hair!" Finger to nose! You got it! I LIKE my long hair! : )
Larry understood about my fear...and that question...how do you want me to style it!? GAH! I have been racking my brain trying to think, so I asked everyone I could bother...Bangs? NO Bangs? Finally I decided against bangs...Larry said that was a good idea because the bangs are difficult with CURLY hair and very high maintenance, I decided I did not want the maintenance and dealing with bangs every day! So we went for the very LONG layered look! He only took off an inch from the back, because my hair is healthy, and then he did the LONG layers. I laughed because he used the same goops for my hair that I use! *grin* so at least I know my stuff works!
I am happy tonight...the test will be in the morning...
I've never understood why people get so scissor happy with long hair. Maybe it's just fun to watch it fall?
