There is nothing better in this world than your children growing older! Today is my son's birthday, he is 25 years old today! I found this old photo of us back in December 1984...what a treat...I scanned it and gave it to him today! What a crack up! He still looks the same only older!
When Creed came out with Arms wide Open I immediately thought of the birth of my son...it said things in that song that made me think of when my life changed for the better and I fell in love with the boy growing inside of me and sharing my life. He profoundly moved me into another direction...without him, I don't think I would have made it to adulthood. I was making some pretty horrible decisions, and then the love I had for him, made me see the world around me differently. It is so hard for me to believe that it was 25 years ago...really a blink of the eye!
I sure miss those snuggly cuddly times I had with him...and smelling him while he slept in my arms...I am so proud of him...he is really making his way in the world...despite my blundering as a parent...I didn't kill him, he survived me and life in general...there is something to be said about that! He made it to adulthood! : )
With Arms Wide Open
Well I just heard the news today
It seems my life is going to change
I closed my eyes, begin to pray
Then tears of joy stream down my face
With arms wide open...
If I had just one wish
Only one demand
I hope he's not like me
I hope he understands
That he can take this life
And hold it by the hand
And he can greet the world
With arms wide open...

Thanks mom! I just got all these emails today. My computer needed some work and outlook wasn't working. I just got it fixed. Thanks for the card, the pictures, and everything. Hope you had fun thinking of me. Yes I remember the cd and still have it. Its in my changer in the truck. I heard it about three days ago.
Thanks for the pictures of hooter. Of course my favorite was pictures of myself. I have never looked closely at pictures of myself that young. It really is me! I am a quarter century old now. Hmm. Love ya!!
