So I love how FAT my daily journal got in 2015...but I think I am going to just do straight journal and collage and not add a lot of the art and stuff in it this year....You can see the Pink 2016 journal...and can tell just how much I expanded...still not as fat as 2014 was!
It was time to get motivated for the New Documented Life Planner Art Journal with my Mountain Bitches! We get together in January to inspire and set up our jouranals!!! So much fun! Another year is starting! This year I am keeping my planner in the Moleskine again and then Marilyn had made a junk journal and the person didn't want to buy it. So I bought it and I am going to use it for my Art Challenges!
Marilyn hosts us and we get spoiled! I missed Friday because a friends Retirement Party, but we eat, drink and are merry for 2 days...this time I had 1 day but I STILL feel refreshed and ready for journaling!
Here is the junk journal that Marilyn let me buy off her!
Today I was able to finish some more of the spreads in the journal...and with each one I just seemed to relax back into myself more...calming...and I feel like I can at least accomplish some thing.
Seems my back failed me this weekend...Maybe from the long car rides a week ago...so I am pretty much in pain again, not the normal down my leg, but straight into the back where the L4/L5 injury is, and it is a new kind of pain. I think because those anti-inflam drug is working...but I am back on the pain med...for now, to get out of the pain cycle. For dinner a little comfort food, some lintel soup!
I am playing catch up with my CrowAbout Journal this weekend...I was able to paint 28 spreads in the book this weekend and then I did this weeks collage (on the wrong page in my journal, sigh) and then went backwards from there... completed 4 layouts (without stories).
The thing I love about this collage group is the fact that it have I used it as my primer for art...no pressure just plane fun, so when all the pressure of life and real art happens I still have this wonderful outlet to just play!
We went to Frys and I didn't buy a thing! But then we did real life stuff, CVS pharmacy that I hate, I miss my Longs! And I picked up a few DVDs at Rasputin, I tried to get the 3rd season of Hero's but they only had new ones for $50...not today. A little clean up around the family room and kitchen, but didn't get my clothes done darn it. And since it was the first weekend of the month I decided to dye my hair again, get it over so no roots show! Ha! Every time I do the same color and get different results! Its funny! I kinda wish it was darker in the brown and less red but I still love this color on me.
Then off for Chef Chu's take out! The rest of the day was spent doing the book covers! I was able to paint 10 more covers and and now have 10 of them mostly collaged and waiting for their photos. I am enjoying the way they are turning out! I think they are going to be really nice!
Today I just needed to start healing my soul...so I started the Covers for our UGRA Members Books...its a large project, and I have been collecting images to use and now I have painted 5 pages with watercolor and glitter and started to place the images for each person...its going to be a fun project and I hope to have it finished this year! Then I can really start playing on the Rail again!
Here is a little peak on the process...I am still missing members photos...so I am winging it right now.
Oh sweetness of mail today! I received a RAOK from SoManyIdea's!!!! Squeel with delight! She made me a skull rock! I am so excited I have one of her rocks!!!! It came at a perfect time, since tomorrow is the ultrasound on my heart...it can bring me courage and good luck!
And I got a couple of great books, and I have started to do some sketching like violet. And it is a lot of fun! And after work I even ran over to Target and got a new purse! Ah, life is good!
I got to the class a little early to go over to store and buy some supplies! WOWZER do I love the store! Lots of fun things for this journal progress including some of the items that Teesha recommends! SO MUCH FUN! The only issue I had today was how long it took for lunch...I was dying by the time it got there and I still am a little sick.
But what a GREAT day!!!
I was so happy to get a photo with Teesha and Tracy, and Tracy said "You don't want ME in the photo!" I was like "Yes I do!!! This is a dream come true for me!" It was so much fun seeing all the art going on, it was like electric waves happening in the room! AH-MAZING! And I was delighted to get some photos with Sharen, Cindy and to just see every one playing!
I am going to have to save my pennies and get to their retreats soon!
