It's time to start bringing your dreams to life, now that Mars is in
your sign and spurring you on. You tend to drown out the fiery
enthusiasm you might have for a project when you're assailed by doubts
and thoughts of failures you sustained in the past. It helps to focus
on your goal and let go of any negative self-talk as it arises so you
can stay on track to success. Mercury in your home zone is great for
getting information on home-based projects or scouting around for a new
home if you're going to move. But as Mercury will be turning retrograde
at the end of the week, this isn't the best time to exchange contracts
or commit to anything. If you have no choice, that's no problem, but
just be aware that everything is likely to change. It may even change
in your favor, but you'll need to deal with a few curveballs. This
retrograde phase is great for clearing out clutter at home and making
more space. The Sun in Virgo may coincide with more meetings and an
opportunity to get in touch with friends or relatives you haven't seen
in some time.
I have to tell you, some times these things are SO right on they scare me! LOL
About the only thing I tried today was playing with the mud clay I bought awhile back, of course my wrist from falling and hurting it on Friday did not cooperate, but I made one monster face and 3 skullies...waiting for them to dry so I can actually paint them and send them off...
When they are dry I will take some photos...here are the photos of them drying...I hope to paint some time soon.
Queen of Cups
A woman capable of deep romantic love. A passionate woman in the
creative arts. A woman who leads first with her heart and then her
head. Love for one's mate and children Sense of protectiveness for
friends and loved ones. Dedication. A woman in search of a long-term
commitment. An attractive woman. Creative arts and alchemy. A loyal
woman on your side.
Ah...off for a day in the Los Gatos/Santa Cruz Mountains for a little art retreat!!! What a fantastic day! It was at the Presentation Center and it is truly a peaceful and beautiful spot!!! And I got to learn from Leighanna Light, her Metal Deck, which reminded me of sorts of the Tarot Deck...in concept.
This was the write up, what artist could resist?:
In this workshop we will transform ordinary metal into a fabulous
thick, chunky, beautifully embellished deck of cards! Each student will
receive ten flat pieces of metal, playing-card size, to transform into
beautiful works of art. Each card will represent a meaningful word or
theme, which will be further explored in text on the back; upon
completion they will be bound together with wire and danglies. Learn
several surface altering techniques using patinas, rust, gesso and wax.
Join us for a fun, exciting day of creativity and inspiration! I didn't get to finish the backs in class or the dangles...mainly because I took a pretty hard fall onto my left wrist and my camera I was holding in my right...I am pretty sore and wondering if I broke it...and lucky for me my camera did not break, I was able to continue to take some pretty good photos!
Two of Swords
Blinded to the truth of a situation. Blocked from seeing what is needed
to go forward. An impasse or stalemate without possibility of
continuing. Remain calm and do not get defensive. Take a step back
before plowing ahead as someone is not seeing things the way you do. A
possible block on the horizon to your plans. A warning sign. Someone is

"Anytime you start a new therapy, weigh yourself every morning," says
George Blackburn, MD, PhD, associate director of the division of
nutrition at Harvard Medical School, where he teaches a course that
includes a section on drugs and weight gain. "Five pounds is your red
flag to check with a physician." Act sooner if you suddenly feel
excessively hungry or lethargic. You may have the option of changing
prescriptions. "Increasingly, drugs linked to weight problems are being
replaced with second-generation alternatives," Blackburn explains. Some
are so new that your family physician may not be aware of them, so
consider seeing a specialist. A doctor who's trained to treat your
specific problem, or at least an internist or an endocrinologist with
an interest in obesity issues, will be up on the latest treatments.
In some cases, switching drugs—or readjusting the dosage—isn't an
option. But according to Blackburn, eating 100 to 200 fewer calories
each day is enough to counteract the kind of weight gain you'd
experience on most drugs, especially if you increase your exercise.

Its a merry go round I am staying off of now...still waiting to hear back from my thyroid test to see if it is too high like I think it is...but loosing the weight after meds is a HARD and frustrating thing! This week I am starting to feel some relief! AND people are noticing that I am loosing some! That is a good feeling! Yeah!
You're going to rock and roll this week, Cancer, so get out your
headphones and start dancing to the music the cosmos is playing for
you! On Tuesday dynamic and assertive Mars enters Cancer and your
sector of self, and your attitude will undergo a bit of a
transformation. Yes, you're nice, but perhaps you're a little too nice
and you let others take advantage of you. It's OK to help out your
friends and family, but you shouldn't have to baby-sit every single
Saturday night for a relative or do another's laundry week in and week
out. Now you'll discover that it's OK to say no occasionally,
especially if you have pressing needs of your own to attend to! Your
health might warrant a second glance on Thursday as the Moon in
Sagittarius in your sector of physical well-being squares the Sun in
Virgo. Consider scheduling a checkup for your medical and dental needs
to be sure that all systems are in good working order. Don't be afraid
to tell your doctor or dentist how you really feel, because early
detection of physical ailments is your best medical defense and course

may have heard the advice before. But did you know that if you follow
all four of these healthy habits together, you could decrease your
chances of developing some of the most common and deadly chronic
diseases by nearly 80%?
After adjusting for risk factors that might
influence the development of disease, the researchers learned that
those who followed all four healthy habits had a 78% lower risk of
developing a chronic condition such as diabetes, cardiovascular
disease, or cancer compared to those who reported none of the healthy
